Here is my take on this week’s Share Your World from Cee’s Photography

Tell us about you first bicycle or car?

This first bike I can remember was a big red tricycle that I got for my 4th birthday.  I was super excited for it and didn’t want to share, I mean, I had literally just gotten it.  My cousin, a year older, wanted to try it and I got so mad that my parents made me share it, that I ended up being sent to my room.  Grrrr….. lol!!!

If only life’s problems now were a simple as fighting over a red tricycle.

What fictional world or place would you like to visit?

Is there any other option than Wonderland???  Wouldn’t it be fun to fall down the rabbit hole? Have conversations with the Mad Hatter? A crazy tea party?  Grow big or small just by eating or drinking?? I would love to be Alice for a day.

If you could have someone follow you around for a day, like a personal assistant, what would you have them do?

At first I wanted to answer that I wouldn’t want anyone following me around.  That would drive me insane.  I hate people in my space.  But then I thought about it and really I would love a driver.  I commute to work each day and sometime the traffic is crazy.  It would be nice to just sit back and relax and not have to worry about being alert or having to deal with traffic jams.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?

We went to a Canada Day BBQ on Sunday to a friends.  We have been friends with these people for more that 20 year.  Always lots laughs.  It great after all these years we can still poke fun at each other.  And how can think picture not make you smile!

Here’s my take on this week’s Share Your World from Cee’s Photography

You can have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what is it? Sushi? Scotch Tape?

This is easy.  Books would be the one thing I’d love an unlimited supply of.  I read constantly.  Reading is what I do to unwind and escape for a while.  I have been an avid read since my middle grade years when I was hooked on Beverly Cleary and Judy Blume books.  Followed by The Babysitter Club and then eventually Nancy Drew The Case Files series.  My love of reading has never stopped.   The books have just gotten a little more adult.

Teleportation or Flying

I want to say teleportation because it is so quick and easy.  But I say flying because one of the things I’d love to eventually do is to learn to fly a plane.  Just something small, like a sea plane.  I think this would be an amazing feeling and the closest I could get to actual flying.

I once jumped from a plane and that free falling feeling was an amazing rush.

Would you rather live where it only snows or the temperature never falls below 100 degrees?

I live where it snows a lot and I hate it.  I am NOT made for winter.  Winter is long and cold and depressing.   I would definitely take the heat any day.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?

This past Sunday was Fathers Day.  We decided to spend the afternoon in Niagara Falls playing tourists.  We enjoyed a few drinks on a rooftop patio along the main strip and just relaxed.

This week’s Share Your World from Cee’s Photography:

If you could choose any person from history to be your imaginary friend, who would it be and why?

There are 2 people I would pick.

First would be Jesus, which is a strange answer for someone that doesn’t believe in him.  I would like to pick his brain. Hear his stories. Validate the fiction versus reality.

Second would be the Marilyn Monroe.  I think she’d just be full of fun.

60’s, 70’s, 80s, 90s: Which decade do you love the most and why?

Hmm….I love 80’s music, but I would say the 90’s.  I was a teen in the 90’s and so I have a lot of fond memories of that time.  All of firsts in the 90’s.  Getting drunk for the first time.  First kiss.  Loosing my virginity.  High school and parties.  Getting my driver’s license.  First job.  Falling in love.  Break ups.  Skipping school. Fake Id’s. Bar hopping.  Just being a teen in general.   Even though it all seemed so tough, life was so easy and carefree then.

When you die, what do you want to be remembered for?

I think my sense of humour and my open-mindedness.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?

I used to bake all the time, but somewhere over the past year or so I’ve gotten away from it.  No one in my house really eats baked goods, so my neighbours would always reap the benefits of anything that I baked.  This past Sunday the mood to bake just hit me and I decided to make a cheesecake.  A Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake to be exact….and that we will eat!!!!

But I still shared with the neighbours along with a few cocktails. It was perfect after a long day. cc

Here is goes….

A piece of clothing from your younger childhood you still remember?

Honestly I don’t think I remember anything specifically. Really just items from what I seen in old photos. A red dress my mom sewed. A royal blue bathing suit. A Strawberry Shortcake tshirt. Rainbow socks with the individual toes in them.

I remember more from my early teen years. That seemed to be when trends and brand names seemed to be important.

Irregardless of your physical fitness, coordination or agility: If you could be an athlete what would do do? Remember this is SYW, dreaming is always allowed.

Hmmm…I think I would be a snowboarder. It looks like a lot of fun. I can barely ski so snowboard will not likely be happening anytime in my near future.

In a car would you rather drive or be a passenger?

Always the driver. For two reasons. 1. I like to be in control, especially when driving on the highway. It works well that my husband hates highway driving. 2. I often get motion sickness when others drive. It’s less likely to happened if I’m the driver. Again it goes back to control.

Saturday we went to the Toronto Zoo. The weather was perfect and there weren’t a lot of crowds so we had perfect views of many of the animals.

If you were to pack a basket for picnic lunch, what would be in your basket?

Hmm…I’m not really sure.  I don’t even know if I have ever been on a picnic.  I would like pack a cooler instead and bring cold meats and cheeses.  Lots of cut up veggies and hummus or eggplant dip and definitely fruits like Watermelon,  Cantaloupe and Honey Dew Melon.

I will need to add a picnic to my bucket list.

On a vacation what you would require in any place that you sleep?

I need for it to be somewhat clean.  It doesn’t have to be 5 stars, but I don’t want to feel like I need to shower just from being in there.

If you were to buy a new house/apartment what is the top three items on your wish list?

First it would need to be an older, at least 50 plus years or more, home. I do not like new homes.  They are all the same.  Older homes have character and are somewhat unique.

Second, I would need to have the bedrooms away from the living area.

Third, 2 bathrooms for sure.

My husband would put a garage at the top of this list and bump everything down.

We have a mill in our area which is set on a wooded area.  Hiking through the woods takes you to a watering hole.  Yesterday was super hot out, so I took my son and his friend to the mill to swim.  They were so thrilled and had a great time.
