Here’s my take on this week’s Share Your World from Cee’s Photography

What would you name the autobiography of your life?

I think I would call it Bittersweet Blonde – A Symphony of Shades.  It would be about the many different roles I play or have played in life.

Which do you prefer, sweet, salty or buttery?

I prefer sweet stuff, but usually want something salty right after I have eaten something sugary.  I love chocolate covered stuff, like caramel, mint or almonds.  And I love chips or salty popcorn.  But I never have a craving for butter.  I won’t even put it on that salty popcorn.

What is the finest education?

Parenthood.  There is no harder job in the world.  There is no training. You don’t know what the fuck you are doing.  Just when you think you have the hang of things it all changes.  Every kid is so different and unique that what may work for one child may not work for another.  You just learn as you go and have to accept that you do the best you can and hope for the best.  And yes, you are going to make mistakes. Its called life.  I also think you learn a lot about yourself when you become a parent.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?

Well for those of you that have been following my blog you will know that I am currently on a 8 week challenge to eating healthy and clean, and to lose some weight that I have put on.  I have just finished week 2 and hit my weight goal that I had set for the end of week 3.  I was so excited, and did a weird squeal from the bathroom.  My husband ran in thinking something was wrong.  He found me dancing around naked on the scale.  We both had a good laugh over it.

Tell us about you first bicycle or car?

This first bike I can remember was a big red tricycle that I got for my 4th birthday.  I was super excited for it and didn’t want to share, I mean, I had literally just gotten it.  My cousin, a year older, wanted to try it and I got so mad that my parents made me share it, that I ended up being sent to my room.  Grrrr….. lol!!!

If only life’s problems now were a simple as fighting over a red tricycle.

What fictional world or place would you like to visit?

Is there any other option than Wonderland???  Wouldn’t it be fun to fall down the rabbit hole? Have conversations with the Mad Hatter? A crazy tea party?  Grow big or small just by eating or drinking?? I would love to be Alice for a day.

If you could have someone follow you around for a day, like a personal assistant, what would you have them do?

At first I wanted to answer that I wouldn’t want anyone following me around.  That would drive me insane.  I hate people in my space.  But then I thought about it and really I would love a driver.  I commute to work each day and sometime the traffic is crazy.  It would be nice to just sit back and relax and not have to worry about being alert or having to deal with traffic jams.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?

We went to a Canada Day BBQ on Sunday to a friends.  We have been friends with these people for more that 20 year.  Always lots laughs.  It great after all these years we can still poke fun at each other.  And how can think picture not make you smile!

Here is my take on this weeks Share Your World from Cee’s Photography

If aliens land on earth tomorrow and offered to take you home with them, would you go?

Absolutely not!  I always think of aliens as scary and wanting to probe me in naughty places.  No thank you.  Hahahaha.  I am perfectly fine where I am.

How tall are you? Are you satisfied with your height?

I am 5’1″. A shorty.  And I love it! I wouldn’t want to be any other height.  And if I want to be taller, I just pop of a pair of heels and off I go.

Do you think you could live without your smartphone (or other technology) for 24 hours?

I could.  Part of using a smartphone so much is really just out of boredom or habit.  If I didn’t have it, I wouldn’t think about it.  I would love to just settle in with a good book or spend time with my husband and/ or son.

What did  you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?

I spent the day in New York City on Saturday.  I do this once a year with a girlfriend of mine.  We just spend the day wandering and doing whatever peaks our interest.  This year we walked the Brooklyn Bridge and it made me realize how out of shape I am.  lol!!! Tried some new restaurants and had some amazing meals. Shout out to Sean’s Bar & Kitchen.  They make a stiff drink!

Found a rock in Central Park and just dozed on and off for an hour or so.  Did a little shopping.  And as always, I pop over to Times Square.  No matter day or night, it is one of my favourite spots ever. I love the energy in Times SquareIMG_2909IMG_2908IMG_2897IMG_2893

Here’s my take on this week’s Share Your World from Cee’s Photography

You can have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what is it? Sushi? Scotch Tape?

This is easy.  Books would be the one thing I’d love an unlimited supply of.  I read constantly.  Reading is what I do to unwind and escape for a while.  I have been an avid read since my middle grade years when I was hooked on Beverly Cleary and Judy Blume books.  Followed by The Babysitter Club and then eventually Nancy Drew The Case Files series.  My love of reading has never stopped.   The books have just gotten a little more adult.

Teleportation or Flying

I want to say teleportation because it is so quick and easy.  But I say flying because one of the things I’d love to eventually do is to learn to fly a plane.  Just something small, like a sea plane.  I think this would be an amazing feeling and the closest I could get to actual flying.

I once jumped from a plane and that free falling feeling was an amazing rush.

Would you rather live where it only snows or the temperature never falls below 100 degrees?

I live where it snows a lot and I hate it.  I am NOT made for winter.  Winter is long and cold and depressing.   I would definitely take the heat any day.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?

This past Sunday was Fathers Day.  We decided to spend the afternoon in Niagara Falls playing tourists.  We enjoyed a few drinks on a rooftop patio along the main strip and just relaxed.

This week’s Share Your World from Cee’s Photography:

If you could choose any person from history to be your imaginary friend, who would it be and why?

There are 2 people I would pick.

First would be Jesus, which is a strange answer for someone that doesn’t believe in him.  I would like to pick his brain. Hear his stories. Validate the fiction versus reality.

Second would be the Marilyn Monroe.  I think she’d just be full of fun.

60’s, 70’s, 80s, 90s: Which decade do you love the most and why?

Hmm….I love 80’s music, but I would say the 90’s.  I was a teen in the 90’s and so I have a lot of fond memories of that time.  All of firsts in the 90’s.  Getting drunk for the first time.  First kiss.  Loosing my virginity.  High school and parties.  Getting my driver’s license.  First job.  Falling in love.  Break ups.  Skipping school. Fake Id’s. Bar hopping.  Just being a teen in general.   Even though it all seemed so tough, life was so easy and carefree then.

When you die, what do you want to be remembered for?

I think my sense of humour and my open-mindedness.

What did you appreciate or what made you smile this past week?

I used to bake all the time, but somewhere over the past year or so I’ve gotten away from it.  No one in my house really eats baked goods, so my neighbours would always reap the benefits of anything that I baked.  This past Sunday the mood to bake just hit me and I decided to make a cheesecake.  A Chocolate Peanut Butter Cheesecake to be exact….and that we will eat!!!!

But I still shared with the neighbours along with a few cocktails. It was perfect after a long day. cc
